15204 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,204 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH NSC, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED 6 TWENTY-TWO AND 30/100 DOLLARS ($113,622.30), FOR 7 CONSTRUCTION SERVICES TO CONSTRUCT THE BOYLE PARK 8 HISTORIC PAVILION NO. 1 - FLAGSTONE REMODEL; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, was awarded a grant from the Recreation and Trails 12 Program sponsored by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program which shall be used to assist with 13 funding for the renovation of existing flagstone patio and walks located at Pavilion No. 1 in Boyle Park 14 which are in need of major repairs due to age and improvements for ADA compliance;and, 15 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process,Bid No. 843, it was determined that NSC, Inc., was 16 the lowest,most responsible bid of the two(2)bids received;and, 17 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project will not exceed One Hundred Thirteen Thousand,Six Hundred 18 Twenty-Two and 30/100 Dollars($113,622.30), which is the base bid amount of Ninety-Eight Thousand, 19 Eight Hundred Two Dollars($98,802.00), plus 15%contingencies; and, 20 WHEREAS,the City has obtained a grant for Fifty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars 21 ($56,667.00) from the Recreation and Trails Program sponsored by the Arkansas Historic Preservation 22 Program, with matching funds in the amount of Twenty-Eight Thousand, Three Hundred Thirty-Three 23 Dollars($28,333.00)to be provided,with Twenty Thousand Dollars($20,000.00)from Grant Match Fund 24 Account No. 108129-S 10G042,and the remaining funds of Thirty-Six Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty-Five 25 and 30/100 Dollars ($36,955.30) will be provided by Parks Development Funds, Account No. 104522- 26 61010. 27 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 28 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 29 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with NSC, Inc., in an amount 30 not to exceed One Hundred Thirteen Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty-Two and 30/100 Dollars 31 ($113,622.30),to renovate the existing flagstone patio and walks located at Pavilion No. 1 in Boyle Park. 32 Section 2. The Project will be funded from the Fifty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars 33 ($56,667.00)grant with matching funds in the amount of Twenty-Eight Thousand, Three Hundred Thirty- 34 Three Dollars($28,333.00)to be provided,and Twenty Thousand Dollars($20,000.00)from Grant Match 'Page 1 of21 1 Fund Account No. 108129-S10G042, the remaining funds of Thirty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty- 2 Five and 30/100 Dollars($36,955.30)will be provided by Parks Development Funds,Account No. 104522- 3 61010. 4 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 5 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 6 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect 7 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 8 lution. 9 Section 4. Repealer.
