3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACTS WITH
5 CRAFTON TULL & ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR THE DESIGN OF THE
6 FOURCHE DAM PIKE WIDENING AND PRATT REMMEL ROAD
7 EXTENSION PROJECTS AS FUNDED FROM FEDERAL GRANT
8 PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it is desirable to improve Fourche Dam Pike, Pratt Remmel Road and Frazier Pike to
11 improve traffic flow and capacity in the Little Rock River Port area;and,
12 WHEREAS, Engineering Consultants for Professional Services were selected pursuant to an annual
13 Statements of Qualifications process(Bid No. 754)to provide Engineering Services for surveying, design
14 and on call construction assistance for the projects described herein.
15 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
16 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Crafton Tull &
18 Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Ten Thousand, Ninety-Five Dollars
19 ($210,095.00)for the Fourche Dam Pike Widening Project,from Interstate 440 to south of Frazier Pike.
20 Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a second agreement with Crafton Tull&
21 Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty Thousand, One Hundred Five Dollars
22 ($220,105.00) for the Pratt Remmel Road Extension Project, to Frazier Pike and the widening of Frazier
23 Pike from west of Apple Drive to east of Zeuber Road; including Traffic Signal Improvements at Interstate
24 440 and Lindsay Road.
25 Section 3. Funding for these projects are from US Department of Commerce—Economic Development
26 Agency, the Delta Regional Authority and with local match funds from Pulaski County and City of Little
27 Rock.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer.All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
