3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE
5 CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
6 THREE MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND,
7 FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE AND 36/100 DOLLARS ($3,475,565.36),
8 FOR STREET RESURFACING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
9 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

11 WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
12 maintain existing asphalt streets; and,
13 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales
14 and Compensating Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds;
15 and,
16 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid No. 844) meeting
17 specifications for the 2020 Street Resurfacing Program.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Construction Contract with
21 Redstone Construction Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Three Million, Four Hundred Seventy-
22 Five Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty-Five and 36/100 Dollars ($3,475,565.36), or Two Million, Eight
23 Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand, Three Hundred Four and 47/100 Dollars ($2,896,304.47), plus 20%
24 contingency.
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
26 Compensating Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
