3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BOYLES CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVEN
6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE AND 04/100 DOLLARS
7 ($687,661.04), FOR GAMBLE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, FROM KANIS
8 ROAD TO ARTHUR LANE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for improvements to for Gamble Road Phase 2, from Kanis Road to
11 Arthur Lane, Project No. 16-5-ST-15, Bid Event No. 826; and,
12 WHEREAS, Boyles Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Boyles Construction,
17 Inc.,for Gamble Road Phase 2 improvements,from Kanis Road to Arthur Lane, in an amount not to exceed
18 Six Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-One and 04/100 Dollars($687,661.04), which is
19 the base bid amount of Five Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand, Fifty and 87/100 Dollars ($573,050.87),
20 plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Ys-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the 2018 Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage as authorized herein and
23 by Resolution No. 14,310.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
