3 A RESOLUTION TO SET AUGUST 1, 2005, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON THE ALLEY
5 RIGHT -OF -WAY WITHIN BLOCK 4, WELDON E. WRIGHT'S
6 ADDITION, SAID BLOCK BEING BOUNDED BY ARCH, GAINES,
7 WEST 21ST AND WEST 22ND STREETS, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
8 ROCK AS A PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the
12 Board of Directors vacate and abandon the alley right -of -way within Block 4, Weldon E.
13 Wright's Addition, said block being bounded by Arch, Gaines, West 21s' and West 22t,d
14 Streets, pursuant to its general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54-
15 104, in the City of Little Rock.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned
19 right -of -way shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little
20 Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock on the 1st day of August, 2005.
21 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in
22 the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
23 a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation
24 in the City of Little Rock.
