3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ESCAMILLA EXCAVATING, LLC, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE
6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($321,354.00),
7 FOR THE MADISON STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, 10TH
8 STREET TO 12TH STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the Madison Street Reconstruction Project, 10th Street to 12th
11 Street,Bid No. 813; and,
12 WHEREAS, Escamilla Excavating, LLC, was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Escamilla Excavating,
17 LLC, for the Madison Street Reconstruction Project, in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Twenty-
18 One Thousand, Three Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars ($321,354.00), which is the base bid amount of Two
19 Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars, ($267,795.00), plus 20%
20 contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
