3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ESCAMILLA EXCAVATION, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN
6 THOUSAND,TWO HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS ($257,202.00), FOR THE
7 RUMMEL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the Rummel Road Improvement Project, from Mooser Lane to
II Countryside Cove, Project No. 05-16-ST-224, Bid No.717;and,
12 WHEREAS, Escamilla Excavation, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Escamilla Excavation,
17 Inc., for the Rummel Road Improvement Project, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty-Seven
18 Thousand, Two Hundred Two Dollars ($257,202.00), which is the base bid amount of Two Hundred
19 Fourteen Thousand,Three Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars($214,335.00), plus 20%contingencies.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
21 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
