3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION, NINE HUNDRED
6 FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE AND 68/100
7 DOLLARS ($2,951,143.68), FOR THE !CANIS ROAD, PHASE 3
8 RECONSTRUCTION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,Bids were solicited for improvements of the Kanis Road Project,Phase 3 Reconstruction,
11 Cherrybrook Drive to Gamble Road, Bid No. 715;and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc, for the Kanis Road Project, Phase 3 Reconstruction, in an amount not to exceed Two
18 Million, Nine Hundred Fifty-One Thousand, One Hundred Forty-Three and 68/100 Dollars
19 ($2,951,143.68), which is the corrected base bid amount of Two Million, Four Hundred Fifty-Nine
20 Thousand,Two Hundred Eighty-Six and 40/100 Dollars($2,459,286.40),plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the''Vs-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
