15141 RESOLUTION NO. 15,141 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH AD-WEAR & SPECIALTY OF TEXAS,INC., 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND, TWO 6 HUNDRED FORTY-NINE AND 24/100 DOLLARS ($52,249.24), TO 7 PROVIDE T-SHIRTS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS 8 FOR THE 18TH ANNUAL LITTLE ROCK MARATHON; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. I0 WHEREAS, as a part of registration, participants and volunteers receive a t-shirt for participating in II the Little Rock Marathon; and, 12 WHEREAS, the 18'" Annual Little Rock Marathon will be held February 2, 2020, through March 1, 13 2020,with an estimated 14,000 participants;and, 14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process pursuant to Bid No. 719, which attracted six (6) bids, 15 Purchasing Staff reviewed all the bid pricing and determined that Ad-Wear&Specialty of Texas,Inc.,was 16 an acceptable successful bidder at Fifty-Two Thousand, Two Hundred Forty-Nine and 24/100 Dollars 17 ($52,249.24)to provide the t-shirts. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Ad-Wear & Specialty of 21 Texas, Inc.,to provide Participant and Volunteer T-Shirts for the 18^'Annual Little Rock Marathon events 22 in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Two Thousand, Two Hundred Forty-Nine and 24/100 Dollars 23 ($52,249.24). 24 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available in Little Rock Marathon Special Project Account No. 25 210459-S00B268. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
