15137 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,137 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN ANNUAL PURCHASING CONTRACT WITH DANA SAFETY 5 SUPPLY, INC., AS PRIMARY VENDOR AND AVC, INC., AS A 6 SECONDARY VENDOR, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE 7 MILLION, TWO HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED 8 FORTY FOUR AND 40/100 DOLLARS ($1,211,844.40), FOR A TERM 9 THROUGH, AND INCLUDING, DECEMBER 31, 2022, FOR THE 10 PURCHASE OF VEHICLE LIGHTING AND EQUIPMENT, AND FOR 11 OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS, an invitation to Bid No. 693, was issued for a Purchasing Contract to provide for the 14 purchase of Vehicle Lighting and Up-fits for use on City of Little Rock vehicles;and, 15 WHEREAS, of the two (2) bids received, the Fleet Services Department requests a Purchasing 16 Contract for a term through, and including, December 31, 2022, with Dana Safety Supply, Inc., as 17 primary vendor and AVC, Inc., as a secondary vendor;and, 18 WHEREAS, Fleet Services Staff is requesting a contingency allowance for an additional amount to 19 cover costs to replace Vehicle Emergency Lighting and Up-fits on additional vehicle purchases and 20 wrecked or damaged vehicles; and, 21 WHEREAS, the total budget for the Purchasing Contract for Vehicle Lighting and Equipment, plus 22 the contingency allowance, is not to exceed One Million, Two Hundred Eleven Thousand, Eight Hundred 23 Forty-Four and 40/100 Dollars($1,211,844.40). 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorize the City Manager to enter into a Purchasing 27 Contract with Dana Safety Supply, Inc., as the primary vendor and AVC, Inc., and as a secondary vendor 28 for the purchase of Vehicle Lighting and Up-fits for use in City of Little Rock vehicles, plus a 29 contingency allowance to cover costs of Emergency Vehicle Lighting and Up-fits on additional vehicle 30 purchases and wrecked and damaged vehicles in an amount not to exceed One Million, Two Hundred 31 Eleven Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty-Four and 40/100 Dollars($1,211,844.40). 32 Section 2. This Purchase contract will be for a three (3)-year term beginning January I, 2020, 33 through,and including, December 31, 2022. [Page I of 21 1 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are allocated in various designated City Accounts. 2 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 3 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 4 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 5 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 6 resolution. 7 Section 5. Repealer.
