15016 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,016 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WAGNER GENERAL CONTRACTORS, 5 INC.,IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND, 6 SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($132,740.00), TO CONSTRUCT 7 UPGRADES AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO TO MEET REQUIREMENTS 8 OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, it is necessary to made upgrades to the amphitheater at the Little Rock Zoo to improve 12 accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act; and, 13 WHEREAS, these upgrades will feature improved viewing areas, and will provide expanded 14 opportunities for all guests to interact with the animals and education programs; and, 15 WHEREAS, part of the funding for this project is available to the City in a Arkansas Department of 16 Parks&Tourism Outdoor Recreation Grant; 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Wagner General 20 Contractors, Inc., to do construction work at the Little Rock Zoo Amphitheatre to upgrade the facilities to 21 enhance the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act in an amount not to exceed 22 One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty Dollars($132,740.00). 23 Section 2. Fund for this expenditure is available as follows: 24 (a) Sixty-Eight Thousand,Two Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars($68,268.00) is available in Am- 25 phitheater Grant Account No. 270659-72504-G235141; and, 26 (b) Sixty-Four Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars ($64,472.00) is available in 27 Grant Match Account No. 108659-72504-S65G012. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions.or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 34 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
