3 A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO UTILIZE STATE-AID STREET
5 MONIES FOR THE 9TH STREET ASPHALT OVERLAY PROJECT; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has applied for and has been offered a grant for a project to
9 resurface 9th Street from Interstate 30 to Main Street and further acknowledges and understands that State
10 Aid Street Program Funds are available for certain city projects at the following participating ratios:

13 Construction of City Projects Right-of-Way -0- 100%
14 Utilities -0- 100%

19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibilities in this project.
22 Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
23 appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this city project.
24 Section 3. Funding for the city share of this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
25 Compensating Use Tax and the 2018 Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage.
26 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
