14991 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,991 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO SET JUNE 4, 2019, AS THE DATE OF PUBLIC 4 HEARING ON THE APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S 5 DENIAL OF A REVISED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TITLED WORD 6 OF OUTREACH PRAYER GARDEN — REVISED CONDITIONAL USE 7 PERMIT (Z-9291-A), LOCATED AT 2700 BROWN STREET, IN THE 8 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, an application for a Revised Conditional Use Permit, filed by Dr. Carolyn Smith, was 11 denied b the Little Rock Planning Commission on March 28 2019 b a vote of 2 ayes, 7 nays and 2 Y g Y Y � Y 12 absent;and, 13 WHEREAS, the applicant timely filed an appeal of this decision to the Little Rock Board of 14 Directors. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS. 17 Section 1. A public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 6:00 PM, or as soon 18 afterwards as the item is reached upon the call of the Agenda, in the Board Chambers on the second floor 19 of City Hall, 500 West Markham Street,Little Rock,Arkansas, on the question of whether to overturn the 20 denial by the Little Rock Planning Commission of a request by Dr. Carolyn Smith for a Revised 21 Conditional Use Permit located at 2700 Brown Street. 22 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed 23 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski 24 County,Arkansas,and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
