WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 5246 to solicit proposals for Summer Recreation Programs for Little Rock youth, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on May 12, 2005, determined the lowest responsible bidders, and recommends the organizations listed below for contract awards. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. Contracts for summer recreation programs are hereby awarded to the following organizations: AGENCY AMOUNT 1. Pfeifer Camp- East /Central $14,966.00 2. Pfeifer Camp- Midwest 14,966.00 3. Pfeifer Camp- Southwest 14,966.00 4. EMOBA 16,969.00 5. LR Boys /Girls Clubs -Billy Mitchell 17,412.00 6. LR Boys /Girls Clubs- Penick 17,412.00 7. LR Boys /Girls Clubs- Thrasher 17,412.00 8. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with the 6 organizations providing summer recreation programs and services. 7 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax 8 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 9 number 105 - 035 -T302. 10 Section 4. The term of the contract is from June 6, 2005, to July 29, 2005. 11 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 12 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 13 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 14 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 15 originally a part of this resolution. 16 Section 6. Repealer.
