3 AN ORDINANCE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE
4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A SOLE-
5 SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER TO SUNBELT FIRE,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
6 TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-THOUSAND DOLLARS
7 ($270,000.00),FOR E-ONE FIRE TRUCK PARTS AND SERVICE FOR THE
8- FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Fleet Services Department("Fleet")be equipped with reliable parts
11 and service tools for minor repairs and maintenance on E-One Fire Trucks currently in the City's fleet;and,
12 WHEREAS, Sunbelt Fire is the only authorized E-One dealer in Central Arkansas; and,
13 WHEREAS,the annual purchase order is for an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Seventy Thousand
14 Dollars ($270,000.00) and a term of one (1)-year with an option to renew two (2) additional one(1)-year
15 terms.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorize the City Manager to enter into a one (1)-year
19 contract with not more than two(2),one(1)-year renewal extensions with Sunbelt Fire for the purchase of
20 E-One Fire Truck Parts and Service for an annual purchase amount not to exceed Two Hundred Seventy
21 Thousand Dollars($270,000.00).
22 Section 2. The funding for the Annual Purchase Order is available in the various Fleet Maintenance
23 and Parts accounts.
24 Section 3. Because Sunbelt Fire is the only distributor for the E-One Fire Truck Parts and Service
25 meeting the Departments specifications,the Board of Directors declares it is impractical and unfeasible to
26 submit this purchase to competitive bids.
27 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 ordinance.
32 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
