14920 IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIII III III 2019004550 PRESENTED 01-23-201909:18:16AM RECORDED:01-23-2019 09:36:51 AM In Official Records of Terri Hollingsworth Circuit/County Clerk PULASKI CO,AR FEE$35.00 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,920 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT TITLE TO PROPERTY DONATED TO 4 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, BY QUITCLAIM DEED, TO 5 BE UTILIZED FOR NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION 6 PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has stated as one of its goals a desire to provide for 9 neighborhood revitalization, and has taken special efforts to accomplish this goal through its use of 10 various City and Federal Funds, and in affirmative actions such as the creation of a Land Bank 11 Commission; and, 12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal is it required that properties be obtained by the City in 13 areas that are appropriate for revitalization; and, 14 WHEREAS, Suburban Sewer Improvement District Number 226 of Pulaski County, C/O Mildred 15 Hamilton, 5609 Holly Springs Boulevard, Little Rock, AR, 72209, owner, has indicated their desire to 16 donate to the City of Little Rock the property located at 5301 Blueberry Drive (Lot 162 Block 0, 17 Woodland Ridge Subdivision) and 5509 Blueberry Drive (Lot 154 Block 0, Woodland Ridge 18 Subdivision); and, 19 WHEREAS,the City wishes to accept the property for use in its neighborhood revitalization efforts; 20 and, 21 WHEREAS, City Staff has conducted a title search of the property which revealed valid title to the 22 properties and no outstanding liens; and, 23 WHEREAS, the City has performed an environmental assessment of the property pursuant to 24 24 C.F.R. § 58, et seq. (2003),which revealed no environmental problems; and, 25 WHEREAS, in consideration for the donation of the property for the public purpose of neighborhood 26 revitalization,the City has not agreed to pay Property Taxes; and, 27 WHEREAS, Suburban Sewer Improvement District Number 226 of Pulaski County, C/O Mildred 28 Hamilton has provided the City with a Quitclaim Deed to the properties, a copy of which is attached as 29 Exhibit A;and, 30 WHEREAS, Arkansas State Law requires that the City accept the property by resolution adopted by 31 the Board of Directors. 32 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF., say..��-< t _ •�cy4{ 33 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 44.°• y4«�r '` %- •. )f w [Page 1 of 5] "� '104i I - rrrryneie �ld.ca0t 1 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby accepts the Quitclaim Deed to the property described in 2 Exhibit A, in favor of the City of Little Rock. 3 Section 2. The property shall be used for a public purpose, specifically for City revitalization 4 programs. 5 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 6 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 7 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 8 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 9 ordinance. 10 Section 4.Repealer.
