RESOLUTION NO. 11,983
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GLOVER'S TRUCK PARTS &
5 EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ROLL OFF TRUCK
6 WITH TARP FOR THE SOLID WASTE COLLECTION UNIT OF THE
7 PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
9 WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Collection Unit of the Public Works Department is
10 in need of one (1) roll off truck with tarp, and
11 WHEREAS, the new truck will replace a 1991 model and will better meet the
12 functional needs and requirements of the City, and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5230 for the
14 purchase of the roll off truck, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
15 minimum specifications was received from Glover's Truck Parts & Equipment in the
16 amount of One Hundred One Thousand, Three Hundred Nineteen and no /100 Dollars
17 ($101,319.00).
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
21 into a contract for the purchase of one roll off truck with tarp for the Solid Waste
22 Collection Unit of the Public Works Department from Glover's Truck Parts &
23 Equipment, for the amount of One Hundred One Thousand, Three Hundred Nineteen
24 and no /100 Dollars ($101,319.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account No. 603-
26 220 - 2110 -7060.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
2 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
3 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
4 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
5 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
6 resolution.
7 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
8 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
9 of such inconsistency.
