4 A CONTRACT TO JCI CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND, SIX
6 HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT AND 06/100 DOLLARS ($356,628.06), FOR
7 THE ARKANSAS RIVER TRAIL RIVERFRONT DRIVE TRAIL
8 PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the for Arkansas River Trail Riverfront Drive Trail Project
11 Improvements,Arkansas Department of Transportation(ArDOT)Job No. 061490,Bid No. 18019;and,
12 WHEREAS, JCI Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with JCI Construction,
17 Inc., for the Arkansas River Trail Riverfront Drive Trail Project Improvements (LR) (TAP-15) (S) FAP
18 NO. TAPC-9253(75)ArDOT Job No. 061490,Bid No. 18019, in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred
19 Fifty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty-Eight and 06/100 Dollars ($356,628.06), which is the base bid
20 amount of Two Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand, One Hundred Ninety and 05/100 Dollars
21 ($297,190.05), plus 20% contingencies.
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from Federal-Aid Transportation-Alternative Program Funds
23 which will provide 80% Federal-Aid Funds to be matched with 20% local match/in-kind labor Non-
24 Federal Funds for this approved Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Project Arkansas River Trail
25 Riverfront Drive Trail Project Improvements (LR) (TAP-15) (S)FAP NO. TAPC-9253(75) ArDOT Job
26 No. 061490,Bid No. 18019;
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. •
