14874 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,874 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH AD-WEAR & SPECIALTY OF TEXAS, IN 5 THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY THOUSAND, FIFTY-FOUR. AND 76/100 6 DOLLARS ($60,054.76), FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE 2019 LITTLE 7 ROCK MARATHON PARTICIPANT AND VOLUNTEER SHIRTS; AND 8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 _ 10 WHEREAS,as a part of registration,participants and volunteers receive a t-shirt for entering the Little 11 Rock Marathon; and, 12 WHEREAS,the 17th Annual Little Rock Marathon will be held March 1,2019,through March 3,2019, 13 with an estimated 14,000 participants; and, 14 WHEREAS,after a competitive bid process pursuant to Bid No. 18156, which attracted two(2)bids, 15 Purchasing Division Staff reviewed all the bid pricing and determined that Ad-Wear& Specialty of Texas 16 was an acceptable successful bidder at Sixty Thousand, Fifty-Four and 76/100 Dollars ($60,054.76) to 17 provide the t-shirts. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Ad-Wear & Specialty of 21 Texas to participant and volunteer t-shirts for the 17th Annual Little Rock Marathon events in an amount 22 not to exceed Sixty Thousand,Fifty-Four and 76/100 Dollars($60,054.76). 23 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available in Little Rock Marathon Special Project Account No. 24 210459-S00B268. 25 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 26 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 27 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 28 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
