14859 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,859 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH CHI ST. VINCENT MEDICAL GROUP, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEEED ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE 6 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($175,000.00), UTILIZING THE 2018 7 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS, TO PROVIDE 8 HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR LOW-INCOME CITIZENS; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 14,798 (June 5, 2018), the Board of Directors 12 approved the sources and uses of 2018 Community Development Block Grant Funds from the U.S. 13 Department of Housing&Urban Development; and, 14 WHEREAS, a contract with St. Vincent Medical Group to provide Health Care Services for low- 15 income citizens was one of the approved projects; and, 16 WHEREAS,funding is now in place to be able to be able to enter into such an agreement. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with St.Vincent Medical Group 20 in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars($175,000.00),to provide Health 21 Care Services to low-income citizens pursuant to the proposed included in the City's 2018 request for 22 Community Development Block Grant Funds. 23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the Community Development Block Grant Funds 24 from the U.S. Department of Housing&Urban Development monitored by the Housing&Neighborhood 25 Programs Department. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are 32 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency including, but not limited to, Little Rock, Ark., 33 Resolution No. 14,798 (June 5, 2018).
