3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HASTY AWARDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR
6 DOLLARS ($73,534.00), TO PROVIDE THE 2019 LITTLE ROCK
7 MARATHON FINISHER'S MEDALS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, individuals who finish the Little Rock Marathon are awarded a Finisher's Medal which
10 has become renowned for its unique size and design; and,
11 WHEREAS,the annual Little Rock Marathon will be held March 1,2019 through March 3,2019;and,
12 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process pursuant to Bid No. 18151, which attracted one (1) bid,
13 the Purchasing Division reviewed all the bid pricing and determined that Hasty Awards was an acceptable
14 successful bidder at Seventy-Three Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars ($73,534.00)to provide
15 the medals.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Hasty Awards to prepare
19 the various Finisher Medals for the 2019 Little Rock Marathon events in an amount not to exceed Seventy-
20 Three Thousand,Five Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars($73,534.00).
21 Section 2. Funding for these purchases is available in Little Rock Marathon Special Project Account
22 No. 210459-S00B268.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4.Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
29 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
