14848 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,848 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO SET SEPTEMBER 18, 2018, AS THE DATE OF D 4 PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ABANDONMENT OF ALL 5 THAT PART OF LAYMAN LANE LOCATED IN SECTION 1, AND 6 SECTION 12, T-1-N, R-14-W, CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, 7 LYING SOUTH OF BLOCK 2,IRIS ADDITION,LESS AND EXCEPT THE 8 NORTH 110 FEET THEREOF, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 3,190 9 LINEAR-FEET OF A THIRTY (30)-FOOT WIDE LAYMAN LANE ROAD 10 RIGHT-OF-WAY (G-23-470); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,Layman Lane,LLC,requests abandonment of all that part of Layman Lane right-of-way 13 located in Section 1, and Section 12, T-1-N, R-14-W, of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, lying south of 14 Block 2, Iris Addition, less and except the north 110 feet thereof, containing 3,190 linear-feet of a thirty 15 (30)-foot wide Layman Lane road right-of-way; and, 16 WHEREAS, this property adjacent to the right-of-way is currently under development for a single- 17 family subdivision known as the Cooper Run Subdivision; and, 18 WHEREAS,all proper statutory procedures for such an abandonment have been met and the issue is 19 ripe for consideration by the Board of Directors. 20 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. A public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 6:00 PM, or as soon 23 afterwards as the item is reached upon the call of the Agenda, in the Board Chambers on the second floor 24 of City Hall,500 West Markham Street,Little Rock,Arkansas,concerning the abandonment of all that part 25 of the Layman Lane road right-of-way located in Section 1, and Section 12,T-1-N, R-14-W, City of Little 26 Rock,Arkansas,lying south of Block 2,Iris Addition,less and except the north 110 feet thereof,containing 27 3,190 linear-feet of a thirty(30)-foot wide Layman Lane road right-of-way. 28 Section 2.The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by 29 law by publication once a week for two(2)consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski County, 30 and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock. 31 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraphs,item sentence,clause,phase or word 32 of the resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication 33 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 34 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
