3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HI-VAC CORPORATION, FOR A TOTAL
5 PURCHASE PRICE OF THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR
6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE AND 45/100 DOLLARS
7 ($374,389.45), FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TEN (10)-YARD
8 COMBINATION VACUUM STORM SEWER CLEANER TRUCK FOR
9 THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for a Ten (10)-Yard Combination Vacuum
12 Storm Sewer Cleaner Truck to replace an older unit with excessive maintenance costs and down-time;and,
13 WHEREAS,vendor selection of the Ten(10)-Yard Combination Vacuum Storm Sewer Cleaner Truck,
14 meeting the specifications needed,was made through the National Joint Powers Alliance(NJPA)Contract
15 No. 122017-HVC.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Hi-Vac Corporation for the
19 purchase of Ten(10)-Yard Combination Vacuum Storm Sewer Cleaner Truck for a total purchase price of
20 Three Hundred Seventy-Four Thousand, Three Hundred Eighty-Nine and 45/100 Dollars($374,389.45).

21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Public Works 2018 Vehicle Replacement Account
22 No.205409-S40B615.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
