3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A
4 CONTRACT TO CLIFFORD CHILDRESS CONSTRUCTION, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND,
6 EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT AND 29/100 DOLLARS
7 ($255,878.29), FOR THE OXFORD VALLEY DRAINAGE
8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the Oxford Valley Drainage Improvement Project, Project No.
11 16-7-DR-246,Bid No. 18-025; and,
12 WHEREAS, Clifford Childress Construction was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Clifford Childress
17 Construction for Oxford Valley Drainage Improvements in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty-
18 Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy-Eight and 29/100 Dollars ($255,878.29), which is the base bid
19 amount of Two Hundred Thirteen Thousand,Two Hundred Thirty-One and 91/100 Dollars($213,231.91),
20 plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds, Special Project Activity TS7B 125, as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
