3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A
4 CONTRACT TO CLIFF CHILDRESS CONSTRUCTION,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED
6 DOLLARS ($82,800.00), FOR THE COLONEL GLENN/TIMBERLAND
7 DRIVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the Colonel Glenn/Timberland Drive Drainage Improvement
11 Project,Project No. 16-7-DR-23,Bid No. 18022; and,
12 WHEREAS, Cliff Childress Construction was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Cliff Childress
17 Construction for Colonel Glenn/Timberland Drive Drainage Improvements in an amount not to exceed
18 Eighty-Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($82,800.00), which is the base bid amount of Sixty-Nine
19 Thousand Dollars($69,000.00) plus 20%contingencies.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
21 Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
