12160I RESOLUTION NO. 12,160 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE 4 CONTRACT WITH SIX ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE 5 YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAMS ( "YIP ") IN TARGETED 6 NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 9 intervention and treatment services to enhance public safety, community- building, and 1 o youth development for Little Rock youth; and I t WHEREAS, the current contracts have an option for one additional one -year 12 extension based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors 13 appropriations. 14 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following organizations one year to provide gang intervention services for youth: Operations Program Budget LR Boys /Girls Club- Central (Male) 43,880 Step Up (Male) Southwest 50,000 Step Up (Hisp) (Male) Southwest 50,000 Greater Friendship (Male) East 49,190 Greater Second Care (Female) Southwest 43,514 Unto Others (Male) Central 48,425 BCD (Female) -- Midtown 49,691 BCD (Male #1) - Midtown 49,791 BCD (Male #2) - Midtown 49,709 [PAGE 1 OF 2] Resolution 2004 YIP Extension t Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2006, to 2 December 31, 2006. 3 Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue 4 specified for prevention and intervention programs, account number "TBA ". 5 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 6 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 7 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remaining full force and 8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 9 originally a part of this resolution. 10 Section 5. Repealer.
