RESOLUTION NO. 14,838
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH KONE ELEVATOR TO PROVIDE
5 ELEVATOR REPAIRS ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, an Invitation to Bid on an Annual Contract, under Bid No. 18133-R, was issued to
9 provide Elevator Repairs on an hourly basis as -needed, and Kone Elevator submitted the lowest
10 qualifying quotation at Two Hundred Twelve Dollars ($212.00) per hour for Elevator Mechanic Work
11 during business hours and Three Hundred Sixty -One Dollars ($361.00) per hour for Elevator Mechanic
12 Work after-hours labor; and,
13 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (1) -year and may be extended for an
14 additional six (6), one -(1) year periods, upon agreement of the parties.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
18 Kone Elevator to provide Elevator Repairs on an hourly basis as -needed, at the rate of Two Hundred
19 Twelve Dollars ($212.00) per hour for Elevator Mechanic Work during business hours and Three
20 Hundred Sixty -One Dollars ($361.00) per hour for Elevator Mechanic Work after-hours labor, with the
21 initial term of the contract being one (1) -year from date of award, which may be extended for an
22 additional six (6), one -(1) year periods upon agreement of the parties.
23 Section 2. Funds are available in Building Services Operating Budget Account No. 104010-61010
24 and various other accounts.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
