3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MOBLEY CONTRACTORS, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX THOUSAND,
6 THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-FOUR AND 50/100 DOLLARS ($946,354.50),
7 FOR THE BRIARWOOD DITCH DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for improvements to the Briarwood Ditch Drainage Project,
11 southwest from Sun Valley Road,between Choctaw Circle and Ouachita Circle,Project No. 3-42,Bid No.
12 18-023;and,
13 WHEREAS, Mobley Contractors, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
14 specifications.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Mobley Contractors,
18 Inc., for Briarwood Ditch Drainage Improvements in an amount not to exceed Nine Hundred Forty-Six
19 Thousand, Three Hundred Fifty-Four and 50/100 Dollars ($946,354.50), which is the base bid amount of
20 Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand,Six Hundred Twenty-Eight and 75/100 Dollars($788,628.75),plus
21 20%contingencies.
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
23 Use Tax Funds, Special Project Activity No. TS3B089 as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310(March 15,
24 2016).
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
