3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN
6 THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED FIVE AND 20/100 DOLLARS
7 ($457,705.20), FOR THE CHATEAUS DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the Chateaus Drainage Improvement Project, Project No. 16-7-
11 DR-245,Bid No. 18024; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone Construction
17 Group for Chateaus Drainage Improvements in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Fifty-Seven
18 Thousand, Seven Hundred Five and 20/100 Dollars($457,705.20),which is the base bid amount of Three
19 Hundred Eighty-One Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($381,421.00), plus 20%
20 contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/s-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds, Special Project Account No. TS7B110, as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310 (March
23 15,2016).
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
