3 A RESOLUTION TO SET AUGUST 21, 2018, AS THE DATE OF PUBLIC
4 HEARING ON AN APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S
5 ACTION IN THE DENIAL OF A PLANNED ZONING DEVELOPMENT
6 TITLED 9010 HILARO SPRINGS ROAD SHORT-FORM PCD (Z-9228-A),
7 LOCATED AT 9010 HILARO SPRINGS ROAD, IN THE CITY OF
8 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, an application to rezone property located at 9010 Hilaro Springs Road from PCD,
11 Planned Commercial Development,to Revised PCD, Planned Commercial Development, filed by Bilqees
12 Lakhani, was denied by the Little Rock Planning Commission on June 28, 2018, by a vote of 3 ayes, 6
13 nays and 2 absent; and,
14 WHEREAS, the applicant timely filed an appeal of this decision to the Little Rock Board of
15 Directors.
16 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
18 Section 1. A public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 6:00 PM, or as soon
19 afterwards as the item is reached upon the call of the Agenda, in the Board Chambers on the second floor
20 of City Hall, 500 West Markham Street,Little Rock, Arkansas, on the question of whether to overturn the
21 denial by the Little Rock Planning Commission of a request by Bilqees Lakhani to rezone the property
22 located at 9010 Hilaro Springs Road from PCD to Revised PCD.
23 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed
24 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski
25 County,Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
