3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH ALTEC INDUSTRIES, INC., FOR A TOTAL
5 PURCHASE PRICE OF ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND,
6 ONE HUNDRED FIVE DOLLARS($185,105.00),FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 ONE (1), EIGHTEEN (18)-TON CRANE TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC
8 WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department has a need for an Eighteen(18)-Ton Crane Truck to replace
11 a seventeen (17)-year old Crane Truck currently being used which has had a number of breakdowns
12 resulting in excessive maintenance costs and down-time; and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection of the Eighteen (18)-Ton Crane Truck, meeting the specifications
14 needed,was made through the National Joint Powers Appliance Contract No. 012418-ALT.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Altec Industries, Inc.,for the
18 purchase of one(1)Eighteen(18)-Ton Crane Truck for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty-Five
19 Thousand, One Hundred Five Dollars($185,105.00).
20 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Public Works Vehicle and Equipment Account No.
21 205409-723 00-S40B 615.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23. word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
