17821 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,821 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH BURNS & MCDONNELL, IN THE AMOUNT OF 5 FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($55,000.00), TO CONDUCT A 6 SOLID WASTE RATE STUDY FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS 7 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock solicited qualifications (Bid No. 17159) Solid Waste Rate Study 10 for the Public Works Department to analyze and determine the cost of current solid waste operations and 11 review rate needs;and, 12 WHEREAS, a Selection Committee, appointed by the City Manager, reviewed the submitted 13 qualifications and selected Burns &McDonnell as the most qualified to provide the needed services;and, 14 WHEREAS,a contract price of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars($55,000.00)was negotiated with Burns 15 & McDonnell, for a Solid Waste Rate Study to analyze and determine the cost of current solid waste 16 operations and review rate needs. 17 NOW,THERFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Burns 20 & McDonnell, in the amount of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00), for a Solid Waste Rate Study 21 to analyze and determine the cost of current solid waste operations and review rate needs. 22 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is from Solid Waste Collections Contracts Account No. 603110- 23 63390. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
