3 A RESOLUTION SETTING AUGUST 7, 2018, AS THE DATE OF PUBLIC
4 HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ABANDONMENT OF ALL THAT PART
5 OF THE NORTH KATILLUS ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, LOCATED IN
6 THE NE'h, SW%,SECTION 13,T-2-N,R-14-W,IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
7 ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; (G-23-469); AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock School District requests abandonment of all that part of the North Katillus
11 Road right-of-way located in the NE 1/4, SW '/a, Section 13, T-2-N, R-14-W, Little Rock, Pulaski County,
12 Arkansas; and,
13 WHEREAS,this property has recently been developed with a sports field for the new Pinnacle View
14 Middle School;and,
15 WHEREAS,all proper statutory procedures for such an abandonment have been met and the issue is
16 ripe for consideration by the Board of Directors.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. A public hearing shall be held on Tuesday,August 7,2018,at 6:00 PM,or as soon afterwards
20 as the item is reached upon the call of the Agenda, in the Board Chambers on the second floor of City Hall,
21 500 West Markham Street,Little Rock,Arkansas,concerning the abandonment of all that part of the North
22 Katillus Road right-of-way located in the NE 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 13, T-2-N, R-14-W, Little Rock, Pulaski
23 County,Arkansas.
24 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed
25 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski
26 County, Arkansas,and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
33 provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
