LITTLE ROCK HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING
APRIL 6, 1995
5:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman John Bush.
A quorum was present - Julie Wiedower, John Bush, Tommy Jameson and
Bob Roddey. Carl Menyhart was absent. City Attorney Anthony Black
was present.
The Chairman asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the
previous meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Bush to
approve the minutes as received. Commissioner Wiedower seconded.
The vote was taken. Motion carried. All ayes.
A discussion regarding the City's AT &T surplus funds followed. The
Commission agreed for the Chairman to write a letter to the City
Board of Directors requesting monies for the preservation program.
Ms. Satterfield gave a brief report on the Certified Local
Government awards. The three projects funded are: Kramer School,
Central High School Neighborhood National Register Nomination and
the Capitol View Survey.
Anthony Black gave the Commission an update on the Duffey lawsuit.
He stated that the trial is set for late April. The lawsuit is
currently in Judge Howard's court awaiting the joint motion for
summary judgment.
The Commission also discussed the Hillcrest Historic District and
the Hillcrest Residents Association's interest in becoming a local
historic district.
There being no further business before the Commission, meeting
adjourned.
