HDC_01 04 1994MINUTES LITTLE ROCK HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION SPECIAL CALLED MEETING JANUARY 4, 1994 3:30 P.M. The Special Called Meeting of the Little Rock Historic District Commission was called by Chairman John Bush. A quorum was present - John Bush, Carl Menyhart, Jeanette Heinbockel, and Bob Roddey. Assistant City Attorney Anthony Black was present. The Chairman announced the purpose of the meeting as being to discuss the circumstances surrounding the possible demolition of Kramer School at 715 South Sherman Street. A discussion followed which included the recognition of the City Attorney's conflict with representing all of the parties involved - 1) the Historic District Commission, 2) the Department of Neighborhoods and Planning, and 3) Dr. Hampton Roy, owner of Kramer School, a City Director. Commissioner Roddey made a motion for Chairman John Bush to speak before the City Board of Directors and express the Commission's concern over the impending demolition of Kramer School in light of the Commission's denial of the owner's petition in July of 1993. Commissioner Menyhart seconded. The vote was taken. Motion carried. All ayes. There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting adjourned.
