3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ENERGY ROOFS & WALLS, LLC., TO
5 PROVIDE CARPENTRY REPAIRS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. 18134, was issued to provide
9 carpentry repairs on an hourly basis as-needed, and Energy Roofs & Walls, LLC, submitted the lowest
10 qualifying quotation at Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) per hour for Journeyman Carpenter and Fifty-Five
11 Dollars($55.00)per hour for Apprentice Carpenter labor;and
12 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (1)-year and may be extended for an
13 additional six(6),one(1)-year periods,upon agreement of the parties;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
17 Energy Roofs & Walls, LLC, to provide carpentry repairs on an hourly basis as needed, at the rate of
18 Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) per hour for Journeyman Carpenter and Fifty-Five Dollars ($55.00) per hour
19 for Apprentice Carpenter labor, with the initial term of the contract being one (1)-year from date of
20 award, which may be extended for an additional six (6), one (1)-year periods upon agreement of the
21 parties.
22 Section 2. Funds are available in Building Services Operating Budget Account #104010-61010 and
23 various other accounts.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
