3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH CASCO INDUSTRIES, INC., FOR THE TOTAL
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, SEVENTY-
6 FIVE DOLLARS ($125,075.00),FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWENTY-FIVE
7 (25) THERMAL IMAGING CAMERAS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
8 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department has a need to replace twenty-five(25)Thermal Imaging
11 Cameras that are old and inefficient requiring costly maintenance; and
12 WHEREAS, Twenty-five (25) CASCO Industries Thermal Imaging Cameras will better equip the
13 Little Rock Fire Department with upgraded technology allowing for greater efficiency; and
14 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Fire Department be equipped and trained with reliable
15 equipment; and,
16 WHEREAS, funding for the Thermal Imaging Cameras will be split between Little Rock Fire
17 Department Special Account No. 325519-F446008 and the Act 833 Account; and
18 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process it was determined that the bid of CASCO Industries,
19 Inc.,was the lowest responsible and responsive bid;
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with CASCO Industries, Inc., for
23 the purchase of twenty-five (25) Thermal Imaging Cameras in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Five
24 Thousand, Seventy-Five Dollars($125,075.00).
25 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available from LRFD Special Account No.325519-F446008,
26 Seventy-Five Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty-Eight and 62/100 Dollars ($75,368.62), and Act 833
27 Account No. 210519-S00B250, Forty-Nine Thousand, Severn Hundred Six and 38/100 Dollars
28 ($49,706.38).
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
