3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY HYDRAULIC COMPANY, IN
5 THE AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION, TWO HUNDRED FORTY
6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-SIX DOLLARS
7 ($2,240,376.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) SIDE-LOADER
8 SANITATION TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT;
9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, The Public Works Department is in need of eight(8) Side-Loader Sanitation Trucks to
12 replace an aged high maintenance vehicles currently being used which has become expensive to maintain
13 and repair; and
14 WHEREAS, vendor selection of the eight (8) Side-Loader Sanitation Trucks, meeting the
15 specifications needed, was made through utilization of the National Joint Powers Alliance Purchasing
16 Cooperative, Contract No. 112014-THC;
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with River City Hydraulic Company
20 for the purchase of eight(8)Side-Loader Sanitation Trucks for a total purchase price of Two Million,Two
21 Hundred Forty Thousand, Three Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars ($2,240,376.00) for the Public Works
22 Department.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Public Works Operations Account No. 6030090-
24 S40A560-72300.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
