3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENDORSE
4 A RESOLUTION AND TO SIGN GRANT AWARD DOCUMENTS AND
5 EXECUTE AGREEMENTS TO UTILIZE A TRANSPORTATION
6 ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM UTILIZING GRANT FUNDS; TO FUND
7 THE CREATION OF A MASTER COMPLETE STREETS PLAN THAT
8 WILL ASSIST WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPLETE
9 STREETS POLICY PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 21,029 (APRIL 21,
10 2015); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

12 WHEREAS, Federal -Aid Transportation Alternatives Program,Funds have been awarded in the amount
13 of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) to create a Master Complete Streets Plan, which requires matching
14 funds in the amount of 20%, or Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), from the Street Fund; and
15 WHEREAS, that Federal -Aid Funds have been awarded to create a Master Complete Streets Plan,
16 revising the Master Street Plan and incorporating the Master Bike Plan and the Master Trail Plan; and
17 WHEREAS, the awarded grant shall be used to create an Integrated Planning Agreement that will
18 provide for and maintain all transportation modes; and
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City of Little Rock will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility,
22 including administration of this project.
23 Section 2. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute all appropriate grant award
24 agreements and contracts necessary to expedite and incorporate revisions of the Master Bike Plan and Master
25 Trail Plan to serve all transportation modes in the construction of the above stated project.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, subtitle, section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
27 subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or work of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
28 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution
29 which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
30 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with the
32 provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
