3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH GENE SUMMERS CONSTRUCTION,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED ONE
6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO AND 20/100 DOLLARS
7 ($301,132.20), FOR OTTER CREEK PARKWAY AT STAGECOACH
8 ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the construction of the Otter Creek Parkway at Stagecoach
11 Road Drainage Improvements,Project No. 16-7-ST-140, Bid No. 18009; and
12 WHEREAS, Gene Summers Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Gene Summers
17 Construction, Inc., for Otter Creek Parkway at Stagecoach Road Drainage Improvements in an amount
18 not to exceed Three Hundred One Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Two and 20/100 Dollars
19. ($301,132.20),which is the base bid amount of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand,Nine Hundred Forty-Three
20 and 50/100 Dollars($250,943.50),plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds, Special Project Activity TS7B 124, as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
