3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH CRUSE UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT, FOR THE
5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED
6 FORTY DOLLARS ($98,440.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF NINE (9) L3
7 NIGHT VISION DEVICES AND MOUNTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK
8 POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City has become eligible for several Emergency Service
11 Equipment Grants; and
12 WHEREAS, nine (9) L3 Night Vision Devices and Mounts will better equip the Little Rock Police
13 Department; and
14 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department be equipped and trained with reliable
15 equipment; and,
16 WHEREAS, the City's Emergency Management Division was awarded a grant through the U.S.
17 Department of Homeland Security which provides the total purchase price of Ninety-Eight Thousand,Four
18 Hundred Forty Dollars($98,440.00); and
19 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process with a Formal Bid No. 18106, it was determined that
20 the bid of Cruse Uniforms and Equipment was the lowest responsible and responsive bid;
21 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Cruse Uniforms and
24 Equipment for the purchase of nine (9) L3 Night Vision Devices and Mounts for the amount of Ninety-
25 Eight Thousand,Four Hundred Forty Dollars($98,440.00).
26 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available from Account No. 270129-G030330/G030339.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
