3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH KFORCE GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS, FOR A
5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED
6 NINETY DOLLARS ($85,990.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1)
7 TRAUMA FX WHOLE BODY TRAUMA SIMULATOR FOR THE LITTLE
8 ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT, THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE
9 DEPARTMENT AND METROPOLITAN EMERGENCY MEDICAL
10 SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City has become eligible for several Emergency Service
13 Equipment Grants; and
14 WHEREAS, the Trauma FX Whole Body Trauma Simulator which will assist First Responders
15 throughout the City with a lifelike experience for the best Medical Intervention Training for a mass casualty
16 event; and
17 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Fire Department,the Little Rock Police Department and
18 Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services be equipped and trained with reliable forms of response
19 intervention equipment for a mass casualty event; and,
20 WHEREAS, the City's Emergency Management Division was awarded a grant through the U. S.
21 Department of Homeland Security which provides Eighty-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety Dollars
22 ($85,990.00),the total cost of this purchase; and
23 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process pursuant to Bid No. 18106,it was determined that the
24 bid of KForce Government Solutions was the lowest responsible and responsive bid;
25 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
27 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with KForce Government Solutions
28 for the purchase of one (1) Trauma FX Whole Body Trauma Simulator in the amount of Eighty-Five
29 Thousand,Nine Hundred Ninety Dollars ($85,990.00).
30 Section 2. Funding for this expenditure is available in Account No. 270129-G030332.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
