3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE AND 24/100 DOLLARS
7 ($169,245.24), FOR THE MARKHAM STREET SIDEWALK AND
8 BOWMAN ROAD AT MARKHAM STREET RIGHT-TURN LANE
9 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for construction of the Markham Street Sidewalk and the Bowman
12 Road at Markham Street Right-Turn Lane Project No. 5-25H,Bid No. 18002, and,
13 WHEREAS,Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
14 specifications.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone Construction
18 Group,Inc.,for the Markham Street Sidewalk and the Bowman Road at Markham Street Right-Turn Lane
19 Project, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Forty-Five and
20 24/100 Dollars($169,245.24),which is the base bid amount of One Hundred Forty-One Thousand,Thorty-
21 Seven and 70/140 Dollars($141,037.70), plus 20%contingencies..
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/s-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
23 Use Tax Funds,Account No. TS5B096 and TS5B097, as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
