3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE
6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN AND 60/100 DOLLARS
7 ($565,137.60), FOR KAVANAUGH BOULEVARD AT JACKSON STREET
8 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for construction of the Kavanaugh Boulevard at Jackson Street
11 Drainage Improvements, Project No. 16-3-ST-64,Bid No. 18001, and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc., for the Kavanaugh Boulevard at Jackson Street Drainage Improvements in an amount
18 not to exceed Five Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Seven and 60/100 Dollars
19 ($565,137.60), which is the base bid amount of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand, Nine Hundred Forty-
20 Eight Dollars($470,948.00),plus 20% contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Va-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds,Account No. TS3B087, as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
