3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, SEVEN
6 HUNDRED NINETY AND 40/100 DOLLARS ($67,790.40), FOR THE 9TH
7 STREET AT COLLEGE STREET WIDENING PROJECT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for construction of the 9th Street at College Street Widening Project,
11 Project No. 16-1-ST-23,Bid No. 18004,and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies,Inc.,for the 9th Street at College Street Widening Project, in an amount not to exceed Sixty-
18 Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety and 40/100 Dollars($67,790.40),which is the base bid amount of
19 Fifty-Six Thousand,Four Hundred Ninety-Two Dollars($56,492.00),plus 20% contingencies.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/s-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
21 Use Tax Funds,Account No. TS1B080, as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
