14732 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,732 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH BALE CHEVROLET, IN TOTAL COST OF 5 SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR 6 DOLLARS ($76,494.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO CHEVROLET 7 SILVERADO TRUCKS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; 8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Fire Department be equipped with reliable forms of 11 vehicular transportation; and, 12 WHEREAS, one of the Chevrolet Silverado Trucks will replace an aged truck accruing high mileage 13 and maintenance expenses and the other replaced a truck that was totaled in a vehicle accident; and 14 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process it was determined that the bid of Bale Chevrolet was 15 the lowest responsible and responsive bid for a total cost of Seventy-Six Thousand,Four Hundred Ninety- 16 Four Dollars($76,494.00); 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Bale Chevrolet for the 20 purchase of two(2) Silverado Trucks for the Little Rock Fire Department. 21 Section 2. The funding for the wrecked vehicle replacement will be paid from Fleet Services Wreck 22 & Insurance Account No. 210759-72300-S00B399; and the second Chevrolet Silverado Truck purchase 23 will be paid from the Little Rock Fire Department Special Projects Account No.210519-72300-S00B250. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section,paragraph, item, sentence,clause,phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
