4 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
5 APRIL 19, 2005 TO CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
6 THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER REFUNDING AND CONSTRUCTION
7 REVENUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSES OF REFUNDING CERTAIN
8 OUTSTANDING OBLIGATIONS OF AND FINANCING
9 EXTENSIONS, BETTERMENTS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE
10 CITY'S SEWER SYSTEM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "City ") owns a Sewer System
13 (the "System "), which is operated by the Sewer Committee of the City (the
14 "Committee "); and
15 WHEREAS, the Committee has determined that the acquisition, construction and
16 equipping of extensions, betterments and improvements to the System are necessary in
17 order for the Little Rock Wastewater Utility to provide effective sewer service to the
18 residents of the City; and
19 WHEREAS, the Committee has also determined that interest cost savings and
20 other benefits may be achieved by refunding certain outstanding obligations of the City
21 and the System; and
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
23 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. That April 19, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. shall be the date and time for a public
25 hearing to consider an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of up to $10,000,000 in
26 principal amount of Sewer Refunding and Construction Revenue Bonds, Series 2005 for
27 the purposes of refunding certain outstanding obligations of the City incurred for the
I benefit of the System and of financing extensions, betterments and improvements to the
2 System.
