3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTRUCTION
5 OBSERVATION CONTRACT WITH MCCLELLAND CONSULTING
6 ENGINEERS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
7 HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($250,000.00), FOR THE 2017
8 STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM TO INCLUDE CONSTRUCTION
9 OBSERVATION SERVICES FOR THE 2018 STREET RESURFACING
10 PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc., was selected through a Statement of
13 Qualifications process, Bid No. 17106, to provide Construction Observation Services for the 2017 Street
14 Resurfacing Program;and
15 WHEREAS,Construction Observation Services are needed for the 2018 Street Resurfacing Program.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the 2017 Street
19 Resurfacing Program Construction Observation Contract with McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc., to
20 include Construction Observation Services for the 2018 Street Resurfacing Program, in an amount not to
21 exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($250,000.00).
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage
23 and available in Account No.BOA0001.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
