3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALTEC INDUSTRIES,INC.,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY-SEVEN THOUSAND, ONE
6 HUNDRED FIFTY-NINE DOLLARS ($197,159.00), FOR THE PURCHASE
7 OF ONE(1),FORTY-SEVEN(47)-INCH DIGGER DERRICK TRUCK FOR
8 THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,there is a need to replace an aged Digger Derrick Truck that is accruing high maintenance
11 expenses; and,
12 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance(NJPA)Contract
13 No. 031014-ALT;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Altec Industries,Inc., for the
17 purchase of one (1), forty-seven (47)-Inch Digger Derrick Truck for the Public Works Department to
18 replace an aged Digger Derrick Truck accruing high maintenance expenses, in an amount not to exceed
19 One Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars($197,159.00).
20 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Special Project Account No.
21 205409-723 00-S40B 615.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
