3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT INCREASE FOR
4 BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE
5 THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED FOURTEEN AND 44/100 DOLLARS
6 ($5,514.44), FOR ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS TO P STREET FROM
7 PIERCE STREET TO TAYLOR STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorized a contract with Burkhalter
10 Technologies, Inc., by Resolution 14,147 (January 3, 2017) for P Street Improvements from Pierce Street
11 to Taylor Street,Project No. 13-3-16A,Bid No. 15011; and,
12 WHEREAS, it is desirable to increase the authorized contract amount Burkhalter Technologies, Inc.,
13 to provide for additional asphalt surfacing and restoration.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc., for P Street Improvements, from Pierce Street to Taylor Street, in the amount of Five
18 Thousand, Four Hundred Fourteen and 44/100 Dollars ($5,514.44), making a new authorized contract
19 amount of Two Hundred Forty-Five Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty and 22/100 Dollars
20 ($245,320.22).
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage
22 and the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax Funds and amended by
23 Resolution No. 14,269.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
